The USPS’s New Proposal
Could Make Mailing Easier

Will Your Company Take Advantage Of The Forever Stamp?

Last month, officials with the United States Postal Service filed a proposal with the Postal Rate Commission for a new stamp dubbed the Forever Stamp. It will be a nondenominated, non-expiring stamp that would be valid for First Class letter postage, no matter what the actual rates are at the time.

When postal rates increase, many retailers postpone scheduled mailings temporarily due to budget constraints. The Forever Stamp would help mailers with the transition to the new stamp price.

Accordting to the USPS, the stamp would be available throughout the year through all sales channels. They plan to sell the Forever Stamp in books of 20 like regular first-class postage. The design of the stamp is currently in review and will be announced by the USPS later. The stamps are expected to be available just before rates increase, so be sure your company takes advantage of it.
